I’ve recently sorted through some old jewellery — a mix of 9ct and 18ct rings, a few antique brooches, and some broken chains. I also found some silver spoons and coins. I want to sell for cash locally but I’m not sure where to go. Some local shops offered very low prices and auctions seem too slow.
Does anyone know a reliable place in Hexham that pays fair prices for gold jewellery and silver, even for scrap or broken pieces?
I had a similar situation last year. Local jewellers only wanted modern pieces and gave very little for broken or antique jewellery. Auctions are slow and the fees can be huge, so I avoided them.
