Duns – Best Place to Sell Gold & Silver Jewellery?

Hi everyone,

I’m in Duns and looking to sell some jewellery — a broken 9ct gold chain, an 18ct ring I inherited, and a few silver pieces I don’t wear. I went to a local jeweller but the offer felt very low.

Can anyone recommend a reliable place nearby to get a fair valuation for gold and silver?

I’m in Berwick-upon-Tweed and had a similar problem. I visited Northern Bullion — everything is tested and weighed in front of you, and their gold and silver prices are updated daily on the website. Made the whole process very simple and clear.

I recently needed some extra cash and had a few silver bangles and a gold bracelet. Auctions are slow and the fees are high, so I wouldn’t bother. Visiting a local buyer in person is much faster and gives you confidence in the price.

I’m based in Edinburgh and cleared a deceased relative’s house recently. I found a few 18ct rings and some silver spoons. I used Northern Bullion — their gold and silver calculator online helped me get an estimate before visiting, and the in-person valuation matched perfectly.

Don’t rush into the first offer. Seeing your gold and silver tested and weighed in front of you makes a big difference. I sold some 925 silver chains and coins, a broken 9ct gold bracelet, and even an antique silver teapot at Northern Bullion, and the pricing was very clear compared to local shops.

Just adding — I recently sold a few silver cufflinks and an old 9ct gold ring. Northern Bullion gave a fair price and explained everything clearly. Definitely worth visiting if you want a reliable and transparent valuation.
