Hi I am looking for a little help on clearing out a relations flat in Gloucester. This is a small 1 bedroom first floor flat.
There are a couple of 2 seater sofas, coffee table, couple of units, bed, wardrobe and chest. There are also some white goods. It’s vacant and we don’t live in the area but keys can be collected from solicitors.
Do you know if a clearance company can lift and clear carpets also? Where do I start? Look forward to hearing from you guys.

Hello Sue my name is Sylvia and I recently had been left with the task of clearing out my in laws property in the Gloucester area. The house was a 3 bed semi, full of everything from clothes, furniture, tools and general rubbish, I required a full clearance including items from the garden and shed to be cleared also. I am nearly 50 years of age and really could not deal with this myself, I searched for a reputable house clearance company in the Gloucester area and came across a very efficient firm named Foxtons House Clearance.
I called and explained my situation to a guy named Will and explained that the property was rather cluttered or ‘well lived in’ shall we say. He quoted me a reasonable price and a team was sent out 2 days after the call to collect keys from a local estate agents. The agents had said they arrived in a big luton, fully uniformed, showed i.d and even showed their license and insurance documents too.
I was not present to overlook the clearance however a neighbour had said they worked very well and very professional. I believe they completed the full house clearance by early afternoon, the place was left tidy and the keys handed back safely.
I received an email from Will that afternoon with photographs of the cleared property along with a full invoice. I paid the bill over the phone and a receipt for payment turned up in the post as promised.
