Good morning AFTA,

My sister and I are required to clear the contents of my late Mother’s house and as I am based in Aberdeen.

To date the only work that has been done is that the majority of clothing and some waste / rubbish items have been removed leaving all the furniture, beds, crockery, glassware, books and general household items to be removed.

The house is located in Luncarty and consists roughly, working from memory, of –

Downstairs –

Dining Room with table, chairs, sideboard, two serving trolleys, crockery, glassware, cutlery and general items.

Hallway with phone table and display table

Living Room with 3 piece suite, television table, display cabinet, nest of tables, footstools, large wall display cabinet, crockery, glassware, books and general items.

Kitchen with fridge, freezer, table, free standing electric cooker, washing machine, crockery, glassware, cutlery and general items

Two large walk in cupboards with general household items.

Upstairs –

Bedroom 1 with two single beds, small bedside unit, 2 chests of drawers, dressing table, desk, chair and general household items

Bedroom 2 with double bed, small bedside unit, 2 chests of drawers, 2 free standing wardrobes, dressing table, chair, sewing machine, gramophone c/w records and general household items

Bedroom 3 with single bed, small bedside unit, dressing table, chest of drawers, chair and general household items

Bathroom with general small items

Hallway with two large walk in cupboards with general household items

Curtains, blinds, light fittings and kitchen units are to remain and there is the possibility that the carpets may remain as well but they are to be confirmed.

Loft space with general household items to be cleared.

Garage containing general items to be cleared.

I would appreciate if AFTA could give me the number or details of a house clearance firm that can advise on a rough estimate to carry out the clearance service.

Thanks AFTA and regards.

Good afternoon, on the 20th of September I hired Scotland House Clearance to assist me and my aunt with clearance of my late mums two bedroom town house in Milnathort.

My aunt and I had been to the house on many occasions doing charity and recycling runs in our cars, leaving mainly large items of furniture, appliances etc left in the house. A team of three house clearance specialists arrived at 9am on the day of the appointment, we showed them around the house then they started straight away. It took the team approximately 2 hours to clear the whole house including carpets.

The three house clearance specialists from Scotland House clearance were very polite, in full uniform and super fast with working. Amazing job over all I can highly recommend them, check them out on AFTA’s members page, all their info is their Northern House Clearance
