Good Afternoon, I need details of a reputable and licensed house clearance company who specialise in clearing cluttered houses.
Last week a tenant moved out of one of my properties in Kingston upon Hull.
I visited the two bedroom house yesterday to do a spring-clean, I was met with a house full of junk, every room is piled floor to ceiling with absolute rubbish and clutter, I can’t believe my eyes.
I am meant to be letting the house out again in two weeks time and desperately need to have it cleared by then so I can see the potential damage that has been caused underneath the mountains of clutter.
I am not exaggerating, the only piece of furniture I could see in the house was one double bed and the sofa in the living room, the rest of the furniture was not visible due to the vast amount of rubbish.
Yesterday was the only day I could visit the property as I no longer live in the area, I will not be able to be present to let a house clearance firm in, is it possible for them to collect keys from a nearby estate agents? Has anyone done this before?
This is my first time having to hire a house clearance company that’s why I have turned to AFTA for help, I am weary in case any of the waste gets fly tipped.

Hi Mary, how horrible is it that a tenant can do this to us, I had the same problem last year with a tenant who decided to up and leave with no warning, leaving a house full of absolute junk behind.
I too had never used a house clearance company before and hopefully this will never happen to me again.
I found a reputable, fully licensed and insured company called The Cluttered House Clearance Company who only specialise in clearing cluttered and verminous houses, I used their services to clear my two bedroom cluttered house in Kingston upon Hull that the tenant had left in a right state.
I was unable to attend the house clearance due to work commitments, the team collected the keys from my solicitor and returned them once the house had been cleared.
The hoarded house clearance specialists kept me updated on how the process was going throughout the day, they also sent me photographs of the empty house after they had finished the clearance (which took two days).
The whole thing absolutely shook me when I visited the house, I couldn’t believe what the tenant had done to my property. Every room, even the bathroom had been filled with rubbish and junk, I didn’t know where to start.
I too was weary of a company that could fly tip the waste, so I asked The Cluttered House Clearance Company if they could email me a copy of the receipts from the recycling centre just to put my mind at ease, they sent me a copy after every time they visited the recycling centre.

Hi Mary, Last month I hired The Cluttered House Clearance Company to clear my four bedroom extremely cluttered bungalow in Kingston upon Hull.
