Hoarded House Clearance Croydon

Good afternoon, I purchased a small two bedroom flat in Croydon last month.

I purchased the flat at auction without seeing it first, I originally wanted a one that I had viewed but it went for more than my budget.

I visited the flat a few days ago to find that it is full to the brim with junk.

To get into the flat I had to have the front door removed, I have no idea how anyone managed to live in here without being able to get in or out.

The previous owners of the flat must have been compulsive hoarders, there are items ranging from ornaments and books to literal rubbish such as cardboard boxes and empty food packaging.

The flat is a two bedroom on the second floor with lift access, it has a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a bathroom and a storage cupboard.

I have managed to climb over mountains of rubbish piled to waist height to take photographs of the rooms. It has been easy to see all the rooms as none of them have doors.

From the front door to throughout every room, rubbish and junk is piled to waist height, I have had to crawl across the rubbish in order to reach different rooms.

The only furniture that is visible in the flat is two wardrobes and I can see a headboard in one of the bedrooms.

The flat doesn’t have a bad smell so there must not be any decaying food or waste amongst the rubbish.

I can see ornaments, bric-a-brac and stacks of books, I am not sure what Is hidden underneath all the clutter, there could be stuff that could be donated to charity.

The kitchen can be accessed and is not cluttered, there is a doorway from the living room leading to the kitchen, I managed to step off the huge mountain of rubbish from the living room into the kitchen.

There is a large fridge freezer with food inside, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a tumble dryer, all the cupboards and drawers are full of crockery, food, cutlery etc.

As well as having the flat cleared, I would like all the carpets removed (if any) and a clean carried out afterwards.

Has anyone had this type of cluttered and hoarded house clearance done before?

Any details of a specialist house clearance company in the Croydon area would be much appreciated.

Thank you, Georgia.
