Good Afternoon, I have a small three bedroom town house in Haringey that urgently needs clearing.

I am requesting details of a specialist house clearance company to clear my hoarded and cluttered house urgently, the company must be fully licensed and members of AFTA.

I have been a compulsive hoarder for over ten years and have been seeking professional help that has enabled me to learn to let go of junk that I once thought was sentimental to me.

I am still currently living in my home even though it is extremely cluttered, I urgently need it clearing as I can no longer live like this and worry that It will slowly take over my life again if I don’t do something about it soon.

For many years I have been visiting charity shops every day and local car boot sales on weekends where I have purchased hoards of items, the clutter is piled so high throughout my home and I no longer have anywhere to store things.

The items I have been purchasing don’t even hold any significant value, I have purchased things like tools, cutlery sets, cups etc, hopefully they can all go to good use and be donated to charity.

I am embarrassed by the way my home looks and haven’t had a visitor in over eight years, because of my embarrassment, I don’t want to be around for the house being cleared, would it be possible for a house clearance company to collect keys from my neighbour?

Also, my jewellery is hidden away in one of the bedrooms that I can’t access, would they be able to locate and keep aside these valuables for me?

The three bedrooms were the first rooms that I filled when I first began hoarding, they are all piled near to the ceiling with loose clutter and boxes of clutter, there is no rubbish in these rooms apart from maybe an empty cardboard box lying around, it could all be donated to charity.

I have contacted a few charities who have offered to help but have then let me down on the days they were meant to arrive.

The living room is where I have lived from since I filled my bedrooms full of clutter, there is a three seated sofa in the center of the room where I have slept, surrounding the sofa is piles of clutter reaching near to the ceiling.

When I first began hoarding, I would pack items into stacked boxes, I was fairly organized so most of the clutter is neat, it wasn’t until I was running out of space that I began throwing things anywhere and everywhere.

The dining room was the next room that I filled after filling the three bedrooms, buried underneath the clutter is an extendable circular dining table with four chairs, a large sideboard and two occasional chairs, there are boxes upon boxes filled with crockery, cups, ornaments and cutlery, basically everything that could go into a dining room.

Every inch of the walls in the hallways Is covered, I have stacked boxes filled with clothing, books, shoes etc near to the ceiling, this can all be donated to charity.

The kitchen has 20 boxes in one corner filled with cookbooks, crockery, mugs etc, all white goods are to be cleared and all carpets throughout my house need to be cleared.

After the house has been completely cleared, I plan to redecorate and furnish it ready for a fresh start, I want to live a normal life and be able to invite friends and family over instead of pushing them away.

Any details of specialist house clearance companies in the Haringey area would be highly appreciated.

Thank you, Katherine.
