Good Evening, I am looking for details of a reputable house clearance firm who specialise in hoarders house clearances in Richmond upon Thames.

My great aunt passed away last month, and we now need to have her hoarded three bedroom bungalow cleared.

My aunt began hoarding about ten years ago when her husband passed away, my family and I never knew the full extent of how bad her home looked as she would never let anyone visit.

I visited her home yesterday and found that it is extremely cluttered and would require a specialist firm to clear it.

The bungalow has three bedrooms, a living room, a conservatory, a bathroom, a kitchen and a garage.

We don’t have the time to clear her home ourselves due to work commitments and would require her jewellery to be found for us.

The living room is the worst, I think this room hasn’t been touched in years as there is a layer of cobweb covering everything, I can’t give a detailed description as to what furniture is in there as there are mountains of clutter covering everything, I believe there will be a huge amount of rubbish amongst the clutter as I seen empty wine bottles sticking out from the clutter.

The bath in the bathroom is filled with bags of rubbish and empty bottles of wine.

The conservatory has two sofas, a nest of tables, a television, a single bed, a mattress and a large amount of bric-a-brac, I believe this is where my aunt slept, I don’t know how because it is freezing in there.

The kitchen has an American style fridge freezer, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a tumble dryer, covering the bench tops is a large amount of empty food packaging, there is a pile of rubbish in the corner and huge stacks of cook books, the cupboards will all need to be emptied too.

The first bedroom is completely full, the bed can’t be seen due to a mountain of clutter piled on top, there are two wardrobes and a chest of drawers too, there could be smaller furniture underneath but it is hard to see due to the clutter.

The second bedroom has two double wardrobes, a large blanket box, a single bed and a mattress, there is a large amount of bags containing toys, teddy bears, board games, paperwork and even rubbish, the wardrobes are filled with clothing and shoes, there are boxes of bric-a-brac on and under the bed and on top of the wardrobes.

My aunts main bedroom can’t be accessed, I had managed to push the door open few inches and was met with what seems like 5ft of clutter, I can’t give a detailed description of anything in there.

There is loose rubbish and clutter in the hallway, all carpets, curtains and lampshades need to be removed from the house too.

The garage has an old car, a large amount of tools and a few sets of ladders.

Has anyone had this type of hoarders house clearance done before?

Thank you, Angela.
