Hi, I am looking to have my mums cluttered two bedroom town house cleared in Wandsworth now that she has moved into a nursing home.
My mum has been a compulsive hoarder for as long as I can remember, her home has become dirty and almost derelict due to this.
My mum has held onto practically everything that belonged to my three brothers and I since we were kids, you can only imagine how many toys, clothing etc that is stored in some bedrooms.
Over the years I have tried to declutter my mums home, but for every item I threw away she would go and buy another ten, it was a constant cycle.
I have managed to bag over 100 bags of clothing to take to a local charity in Wandsworth, this was from the living room alone, it hasn’t even made a dent.
Looking at her home is depressing me, I want to have a specialist house clearance company in to completely clear everything.
The house is a two bedroom with a lounge, a dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom, though the house is relatively small, it is extremely cluttered with absolute junk.
I cannot be present for the day of the house clearance as I live over 100 miles away from my mums house, how will this work when booking a house clearance?
How will I know if the house has been cleared? And how do I make payment?
I can’t express enough how cluttered the house actually is, picture a hoarders home but ten times worse, each room is completely filled with clutter and junk.
I believe that some clutter could be donated to charity, there is quite a lot of ornaments and books lying around, is this something a company can do on my behalf?
Any info would be much appreciated.

Good Morning Alex, A few months ago I was tasked with clearing my late uncles extremely cluttered bungalow in the Wandsworth area.
My uncle had been living as a compulsive hoarder for his whole adult life, he divorced at an early age and his hoarding problem began then.
His bungalow consisted of two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, a conservatory, a dining room and a kitchen.
Most of the rooms in the bungalow became so extremely cluttered that the doors would not open, the house clearance team had to remove the doors in order to clear these rooms.
I managed to take photographs of the bungalow and sent them to Tiffany from The Cluttered House Clearance Company, she gave me a set date for the clearance, a rough time scale of how long the clearance would take, and a set quote.
I emailed Tiffany back and forth and explained that I would not be around for the day of the clearance, she offered for the keys to be posted to head office, or the team could collect them from a neighbor, solicitor etc, I opted to post the keys to head office, the team posted them back to me tracked and signed for once they completed the clearance.
It took two days to clear the whole bungalow, the team kept me updated throughout, they managed to donate a large amount of clothing, ornaments and crockery to charities in Wandsworth.
Once the team finished the clearance they sent me photographs of the empty bungalow, I was amazed at how fast they worked throughout the two days.
Tiffany called me once I had received photographs of my uncles bungalow, I confirmed I was happy with the work carried out and paid the bill over the phone via card, I then received a copy of my invoice and card receipt via email.
I can’t express how professional the cluttered house company is, from start to finish the whole process was made easy, I didn’t have to lift a finger.

We have a member that is fully licensed with the UK Environment Agency and also fully insured to undertake the clearance of hoarded and cluttered houses.
